Revolutionary new campus to open in Durban in 2019
NewBridge is preparing to open its first campus in Musgrave in January 2019, with the launch of its Kloof campus set for 2020. Over the course of this year, our model has evolved to not only accommodate the changes to the post-school environment, but also to sharpen our focus on empowering students with the skills needed for the 21st century world of work. We have taken cognisance of the tougher economy and are delighted to confirm that no programme at Newbridge will cost more than R60 000 for the 2019 academic year.
Innovation requires foresight and flexibility, and over the course of this year we have become increasingly concerned that places for students who come to us for UNISA support may be in jeopardy at UNISA. For this reason, we will be supporting an alternative degree conferring institution. It was important that such an Institution be aligned with NewBridge’s philosophy of industry focus and preparation for life after graduation. From 2019, NewBridge will be supporting the IMM Graduate School Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA) and Bachelor of Commerce(B.COM) degrees. Both these qualifications are highly recognised and endorsed by industry.
Our Professional Development Programme (PDP) is designed to overcome the challenges that many students face when transitioning from school into post-school education. Preparing students and managing expectations early on, significantly increases their success and ensures they gain maximum benefit from, not only their classes, but their professional development as well. Students will also undertake various online short learning programmes from global universities
In the first half of the year students will do a Professional Development Programme (PDP) focusing on the following critical areas:
